Following a successful trial with City’s Under-21s, former Arsenal development player Arinse Uade has signed a professional deal until the end of the season at the club.
After leaving Arsenal in 2014 after being with the London side since the age of nine, the 19-year-old has had spells at Finnish club SJK before moving back to England, where he was on trial with Derby County, before playing for Ilkeston Town.
The young defender can operate anywhere on the left side and can also play in central defence.
Since being with the Canaries, Uade has featured in City’s recent wins against Manchester United and Southampton, seeing the development side put an end to a six-match winless streak, which now sees them sit in 9th place in the League, above Chelsea, Leicester and Liverpool.
Upon signing with the club on a full-time basis, Uade spoke of his excitement to get back into the development leagues after a spell away.
Telling the Norwich City’s Official Website:
I’m very pleased because it’s been a little while since I left Arsenal to get back into this level of football.
Before speaking of his time at NR1 so far:
The lads have made me feel part of the group already. That’s made it easier for me, and I’ve had a couple of games at Carrow Road as well which felt a bit surreal.
I just want to kick on now and make the most of the opportunity by playing well for the Under-U21s.
