Norwich City central defender Ryan Bennett has spoken out about how he, and the rest of the Norwich squad, are not worrying or thinking about their past mistakes in games coming into today’s clash with Swansea in the Premier League.
Norwich host the Swans at Carrow Road whilst on a run of four straight defeats in the Premier League. They lost a point at the Etihad last week thanks to two big errors from John Ruddy in-goal, something that has become a reoccurring theme this season.
However, Ryan Bennett has insisted that Norwich have a clean slate coming into the game and have enough to win the match. Bennett is in line for a third consecutive Premier League start and it is clear to see that the defence has improved with his addition to the back four.
The mistakes need to be cut out if Norwich are to end their rotten run of form and Bennett thinks it can happen today.
You know when you have done something wrong. You don’t need to be told.

Things like that happen every single week. That is something you have to deal with as a player, every player goes through those moments. You just have to forget about it. Of course you analyse it, you look at it, and think to yourself how you can rectify it, maybe speak to the coaches and then you have to move on. We always look at set pieces and what other teams are doing at set plays and maybe it is just a bad run and its up to us as players to put it right and maybe then no-one will be talking about it.
Bennett also spoke on the amount of blame that is being attached to John Ruddy, with Norwich the only team not to have kept a clean sheet this season.
John is one of the best goalkeepers in this country and there is no more to be said on that one.
For me, I would put him in the top three of four so you would be doing well to find another one. Of course, clean sheets are important. You can build on that. If you don’t concede then it only takes one or two to nick a win. At the moment we need to score two or three to get a positive result.
