Liverpool striker linked with Norwich switch

According to The Express, Norwich City are looking at Liverpool striker Divock Origi with regards to a loan move in the January transfer window.

The 20-year-old striker has had limited game time under Brendan Rodgers so far. He’s had just one Premier League appearance, which was a 16-minute cameo as a substitute in Liverpool’s loss to Manchester United.  With Christian Benteke, Danny Ings and Daniel Sturridge all ahead of him in the pecking order, he may need a loan move to get regular minutes under his belt.

Liverpool could be willing to send him on loan to get Premier League experience and Alex Neil’s Norwich could be the club that Origi could move to in order to get some much needed playing time. Origi has 15 caps for Belgium and has scored three goals, not a bad return for a 20-year-old. He has also been linked with a move to Turkey with Fenerbahce, the club that already have Lazar Markovic on a season-long loan deal from Liverpool, which could help in them getting Origi as well.

His only Liverpool goal so far has come in a pre-season friendly versus Thai All Stars, but he is yet to score a competitive goal for the club.
