Norwich draw Everton in round of sixteen

After seeing off West Bromwich Albion 3-0 at Carrow Road behind goals from Matt Jarvis, Kyle Lafferty, and a West Brom own goal, Norwich will travel to Goodison Park to battle Everton in the round of sixteen.

So far in this competition, Everton have pulled out a thrilling 5-3 win in extra time over Barnsley at Oakwell in the second round. Then in the third round, they came back from a goal behind to beat Reading 2-1 at the Madejski Stadium just last night. Belgian striker Romelu Lukaku lead the charge in the Barnsley tie with two goals, and Ross Barkley scored the winner at Reading. The Toffees currently sit sixth place in the Premier League table, but only one point ahead of Norwich in the congested Premier League table.

The cup history against Everton has not been good reading for the Canaries, particularly at Goodison Park. Norwich were beaten 3-1 in the 2004 FA Cup there, 5-0 in the 1995 FA Cup, and a 1-0 in the 1989 FA Cup Semifinal. We did win there once in cup competitions, a 1-0 win in the 1973 League Cup.

The tie will be played on either October 27th or October 28th, which will be just after our league tie against West Brom, and before our trip to the Etihad Stadium. What do you think of this draw? Leave a comment below.
