James Nursey of The Mirror is reporting that Norwich are interested in signing Swansea City centre-back Jordi Amat.
It is no secret that Alex Neil is looking for a centre-back to bolster his squad, however so far this transfer window his and the board’s efforts have proved futile. Norwich City have previously been linked with Virgil van Dijk, Kalidou Koulibaly, James Collins among others yet so far no deal has materialised.
Now they turn their sights towards the 23-year-old Spaniard who has played at every youth international level.

Since a £2.5 million move from Rayo Vallecano in 2013, Amat has played 27 times for the Welsh side. However, he is clearly highly regarded as his original four-year contract was extended in March 2015 for a further year, meaning that he is contracted to Swansea until 2018.
This could mean that signing the player on a permanent basis is more expensive than Norwich would hope.
Either way, time is running out, so Norwich will hope that they can pull this signing over the line assuming that the reported interested is substantial.
