The Robbie Brady saga continues…
Norwich have submitted a fourth bid for Hull City’s winger, with the new fee at £3.5m, according to Sky Sports.
While the Canaries continue their bids for the 23-year-old Irish international, expect the Tigers to continue rejecting them. Hull boss Steve Bruce said Thursday that Norwich’s three bids of £2m, £2.5m and £3m were ‘embarrassing’. It’s hard to imagine his hardline stance easing up over a new offer £.5m more. So realistically this trend can bring two outcomes.
- City keep resubmitting bids until they hover around £4.5m or £5m, which might be more reasonable for Bruce—or at least less embarrassing.
- Hull might see a trend here and force Norwich to overspend. It’s a decent financial strategy for the Tigers, briefly.
Either way, Brady seems to be the one signing Norwich manager Alex Neil seems keen to have join the recently promoted side. At this point it’s just a matter of the final price at checkout.
