Train Strike Called Off

We have some good news Norwich City fans.

Both the TSSA and RMT unions have called off their scheduled strikes which means train services will now be running as normal. The unions have changed their minds about striking after a revised offer from National Rail regarding pay.

With thousands of Norwich fans looking to travel South to Wembley for the biggest game in decades it will be a great relief that the train lines will now be running smoothly.

Norwich have fully booked Canary Coach travel with 120 coaches leaving from various points in Norwich with many other independent groups also using coaches as their method of transport.

Action was due to start on Monday at 5pm, potentially affecting thousands of supporters of both clubs making arrangements to travel south for the match at Wembley. Previously, due to the strike, the last train back from Kings Cross to the North East was due at 5.03pm – about 10 minutes after full time.

Preston, who are playing the day before in the League One play-off final have not been so lucky though with railway maintenance expected to affect the west coast line causing havoc to travel plans for them.

Safe travelling Norwich fans!

matchday.
