Extra tickets have been allocated to both playoff finalists, after Middlesbrough announced they were seeking an additional allocation. In the interest of fairness, both sides have been given an increase. The allocation for Norwich and Middlesbrough now stands at 39,500 each – an increase of 612 from the original allocation of 38,888.
For Norwich fans, these extra tickets will go on sale at 6pm Wednesday evening with the other remaining tickets. Only those with a season ticket, priority membership, away season ticket or are a shareholder can purchase an additional ticket. The third tier is the only area still available and it is expected that the vacant places will sell out very quickly this evening.
For Middlesbrough fans, the additional tickets went on sale at 2.30 pm.
The club have also confirmed that the 120 club coaches have been sold out, causing problems for some with the rail strike set to go ahead on the Monday. On twitter, the club have been promoting travel arrangements organised by fans, such as the ‘Northern Canaries’ coach, in order to raise awareness of the different options available.
