Jos Hooiveld has left Norwich City – ending his season-long loan – to join Championship rivals Millwall. Hooiveld had intended to last the entire season at Carrow Road, but the 31-year-old Dutch centre back had failed to make an appearance since November, with both clubs deciding it was best that the loanee moved on.
Hooiveld was a Neil Adams signing, and with the return of Seb Bassong to the first team fray last week, Alex Neil decided that the Southampton defender was too far down the pecking order to be deemed a worthwhile use of wage budget. With just six appearances for the Canaries and never really impressing too much, not too many City fans will be disappointed with the move.
