London Bees Test Gives Megan Todd Instant Norwich Women Gauge

Norwich City Women have given Andy Cook and returning assistant coach Megan Todd a sharp opening checkpoint for the summer, with a pre-season trip to London Bees now locked into the calendar.

The Canaries will travel to The Hive 5G on Sunday, July 19, with kick-off set for 2pm. According to Norwich City’s official confirmation, tickets for the fixture will be priced at £1 through London Bees.

London Bees Opener Hands Norwich Women A Real Summer Gauge

This is not a decorative friendly. Bees finished last season as a relevant FAWNL benchmark and beat Norwich 2-0 in the Women’s FA Cup in 2023 before the Canaries answered with a 3-3 league draw at The Hive last year.

That gives Cook’s side an immediate read on rhythm, defensive distances and how quickly Todd’s return to the coaching staff can sharpen the group’s detail. Norwich have also confirmed a behind-closed-doors home friendly against Lincoln Women, underlining a deliberate step-up in their summer programme before the 2026/27 campaign.

The club’s wider women’s operation has already been busy, with season-ticket momentum building around The Nest. The London Bees date now gives supporters the first hard football marker of the new cycle.

For Norwich, the value is obvious: a competitive away test, a low-cost route for travelling fans, and an early chance for Todd and Cook to test whether the summer messaging is already translating onto the pitch.
