The Webber jewels have now gone: Who could be Norwich’s next £15m-£20m sale?

Last week Josh Sargent became Norwich City’s fourth biggest sale in the club’s 123-year history after sealing a £20 million move to MLS side Toronto.

The fee agreed for Sargent is eclipsed only by the sales of Emi Buendia, James Maddison and Ben Godfrey.

Last summer, City fans regarded Sargent as part of the club’s ‘holy trinity’ alongside Borja Sainz and a certain Chilean who shall not be named.

Six months down the track and the three stars – all signed by sporting director Stuart Webber – have been sold for a combined £40 million.

In Ben Knapper, Norwich has a sporting director capable of extracting maximum value in the transfer market – a key pillar of the strategy under Mark Attanasio and Norfolk Holdings.

So far, Knapper has dined off the jewels bought by his predecessor, but from this summer and beyond, it will be primarily his signings required to bring in transfer cash.

I’ve taken a look at three current Canaries who could go on to command the club’s next £15m-£20m transfer fee.

Paris Maghoma

January signing Paris Maghoma may have played only four league games for City, but all fans can agree that the former Brentford man has looked the business.

Norwich fans have enjoyed some truly special number 10s over the past decade and Maghoma looks to be the next in that lineage.

Taking bums off seats with all kinds of flicks and tricks, the 24-year-old already looks to possess Premier League quality.

The £800,000 paid in January could look like peanuts if his form continues.

I can see a world where City go on to earn 20 times that figure from a sale in the transfer windows to come.

Ruairi McConville

Northern Ireland defender Ruairi McConville became Norwich’s youngest ever captain when he led his teammates out during the FA Cup tie against West Bromwich Albion last month.

The 20-year-old has arguably been City’s standout player since Philippe Clement came in, forming a rock solid partnership at the back alongside Jose Cordoba.

The former Brighton man possesses a maturity beyond his years both on and off the pitch, becoming a key player in City’s 2026 revival.

Given that Norwich sold Ben Godfrey for a bumper £25 million fee back in 2020, those inside the club will no doubt be eyeing something similar over the next year or two should McConville’s development continue at such a fast rate.

Kellen Fisher

Having noticeably regressed under Liam Manning, Kellen Fisher is now back to his best under the watchful eye of Clement.

The 21-year-old has now nailed down the right-back spot over the more experienced Jack Stacey, with 32 league appearances this season.

Signed from non-league Bromley in 2023, Fisher exudes a calmness and technical ability on the ball more associated with polished academy players.

Recent reports suggest interest from Everton alongside several other Premier League clubs, so this is perhaps one to keep an eye on in the summer.

An England under-21 international, Fisher could certainly become City’s next big sale.

A life-long Norwich City fan, Daniel has been following the ups and downs of the Canaries since his first game in 2005. After graduating from the University of Brighton with a degree in Sport Journalism in 2021, he has worked for two of the UK's biggest media companies. A season ticket holder at Carrow Road since the 2014/15 season, Daniel can be found amongst the ultras of the South Stand every other Saturday.
