Sinani admits he is in advanced talks over move to Norwich

Dudelange forward Danel Sinani has confirmed that he is closing in on a summer move to Norwich City.

Sinani says that talks are at an advanced stage with the Canaries and that he is planning to visit the training ground before officially signing with the club.

The winger is out of contract at the end of the season, meaning that Norwich are free to speak to him without permission from Dudelange.

Speaking to Le Quotidien, Sinani said:

I can confirm that Norwich are very interested in my services, but I haven’t signed with them. Let’s say that talks are well on their way. It’s a club that plays in the Premier League, and even if they aren’t well placed, it remains a very good level. It’s simply the best league in the world.

What’s certain is that I won’t be playing in Luxembourg for 2020-21. As I said, things are very advanced with Norwich. They absolutely want me, but we have to see how things can or will be finalised. I haven’t been to visit the infrastructures, but that’s planned. The two parties just need to find the time.

If it wasn’t already, the cat is certainly out of the bag now. It is hard to get a more reputable source than the player himself saying that a move is close.

Unless there are any late issues, Sinani’s comments suggest that he will become a Norwich player at the end of the season.

Sinani has been in exceptional form for Dudelange in Luxembourg this season, with a total of 24 goals and seven assists in 27 games as a winger.

The 22-year-old has managed nine goals and three assists in 11 Europa League games, showing that he can produce at a good standard.

This bodes well for Norwich if they are able to get a deal over the line, as Sinani could be an impressive addition to the squad. Norwich have struggled for goals from midfield, with Todd Cantwell the only player outside of Teemu Pukki to have managed more than one Premier League goal.

Sinani’s record suggests that he is a goal threat and could add more firepower to Daniel Farke’s attacking options next season, whether that be in the Championship or the Premier League.
