Holt lists three reasons for Norwich fans to remain positive

Norwich legend Grant Holt has taken to Twitter to list three reasons for fans to remain positive despite the club being bottom of the Premier League.

The Canaries are currently at the foot of the table with 18 points and are seven points adrift of safety with just 13 games left to play before the end of the season.

However, Holt says that Norwich fans should stay positive due to having exciting academy prospects in the team, the excellent training facilities in place and still being in the best league in the world – as he says.

I completely agree with Holt in that there are still reasons to stay positive as a Norwich fan. As cliche as it may sound, Norwich have not been playing like a side devoid of confidence and bottom of the league. They are still creating plenty of chances and staying competitive in games – drawing with Newcastle, beating Bournemouth and narrowly losing to Tottenham in the last few weeks.

It’s also great to see academy players flourishing in the side, with the likes of Ben Godfrey, Jamal Lewis, Todd Cantwell, Max Aarons and Adam Idah all playing their part. Their involvement is proof that the academy set-up at Colney is working and producing players ready to step up into the first-team, which also plays into his point of the club having good training facilities.

It makes sense that the better your facilities are, the better chance you have of developing players. It also means that you could be able to attract more players to the club, as it shows potential signings that the club is ambitious and wants to progress on and off the pitch.

This is why there are still reasons for Norwich to be positive, regardless of which division they find themselves in next season.
