Both Klose and Christoph Zimmermann have been ruled out, leaving Grant Hanley and Ben Godfrey as Norwich’s only fit central defenders for the second game in-a-row.

The perfect second chance for Hanley to prove that he has what it takes to make it in the Premier League?

Yes. There is no hiding away from the fact that Hanley was not good enough against Liverpool, as he scored an own-goal and failed to win an aerial battle, a tackle or an interception throughout the game despite playing the full 90 minutes.

However, due to unfortunate injuries to his teammates, Hanley has now been gifted a second chance to show everyone that is he is capable of playing at this level.

He was the fourth choice centre-back for the majority of last season in the Championship and could find himself watching on from the reserves again if he fails to perform against Newcastle – the club he joined Norwich from.

Given that he was sold by Newcastle, Hanley could have extra motivation to put in a strong performance and not only prove any Norwich fans doubting him wrong, but his former club as well.

Does Hanley have the ability to make it as a Premier League defender?
