Opposition dangerman: Newcastle (H)

Norwich City face Newcastle at Carrow Road in the Premier League on Saturday as they go in search of their first points of the season.

The Canaries lost 4-1 to Liverpool on the opening day of the campaign last week, with an own goal from Grant Hanley giving the hosts the lead before Mo Salah, Virgil Van Dijk and Divock Origi made sure of the three points.

Teemu Pukki pulled one back in the second-half, but who will Norwich need to be wary of against Newcastle?

We have picked out their club-record signing Joelinton as the man to watch out for this weekend.

Although he failed to score on his debut against Arsenal, he looked sharp in and around the box and caused problems for Unai Emery’s back four.

The Brazilian forward signed for Newcastle from Hoffenheim this summer, after scoring 11 goals in all competitions for the German club last season

He won eight aerial duels against Arsenal, which suggests that he is good in the air – which has been a weak spot for Norwich in the last 12 months. The Canaries conceded two headers against Liverpool and were in the bottom six for goals conceded from set-pieces in the Championship last term.

If Grant Hanley starts at centre-back for Norwich, there will be major concerns over his ability to deal with Joelinton. He failed to win a single aerial battle against Liverpool on Friday.
