Norwich 1-0 Toulouse: Four things learned

Norwich City beat French side Toulouse 1-0 on Saturday in their final pre-season outing ahead of the Premier League campaign. 

The Canaries were far better than the scoreline suggested, with Daniel Farke’s side missing a host of excellent opportunities to enhance the lead.

Midfielder Kenny McLean scored the only goal of the game. Emi Buendia fizzed a ball into his feet and the Scot brilliantly found the bottom right corner from range to put Norwich 1-0 up.

Dennis Srbeny, Teemu Pukki, Mario Vrancic and Josip Drmic were all guilty of missing good chances in the second-half, as Norwich should have put the game to bed. 

Toulouse came close to an equaliser, though, in the final few minutes as Max Gradel jinked into the box and fired a low shot at Ralf Fahrmann, who did well to turn it aside to make sure of the win.
