Norwich put off by £5 million asking price for Ipswich Town’s Dozzell

Norwich have reportedly cooled their interest in Ipswich Town midfield Andre Dozzell, after being put off by the Tractor Boys asking price for the midfielder.

The Canaries had been touted with a move for Dozzell, but have now cooled their interest after Ipswich put a high price tag on the midfielder.

Former Norwich boss Paul Lambert had said that it would take a multi-million pound offer for Town to sell their highly-rated midfielder.

Ipswich had put a £5 million asking price on Dozzell, but Norwich weren’t keen to pay that for a player entering the final 12 months of his deal.

Dozzell is reportedly one of Ipswich’s prized assets, and he could be sold to raise cash for Paul Lambert’s campaign to get Ipswich back into the Championship at the first time of asking.

Lambert had said it would take a huge offer for Dozzell to leave the club, with Ipswich still strapped for cash ahead of the new campaign.
