Norwich City are preparing to jet off to Germany to begin their pre-season tour of Daniel Farke’s homeland this summer.
The Canaries will travel to Germany on Friday and are set to face Arminia Bielefeld in their first pre-season friendly of the summer of Sunday.
They then face Bundesliga giants Schalke next Friday, with Ralf Fahrmann potentially set to face the club he is currently on loan to Norwich from.
Norwich will then return to England, where they face Brentford behind closed doors, Luton Town away and then back-to-back home games against Atalanta and Toulouse to end off their pre-season preparations.
The club have already confirmed their travelling first-team squad for the trip, with the likes of Nelson Oliveira, James Husband and Ben Marshall all excluded, whilst young forward Adam Idah has been promoted to the senior side.
Here is how we predict Norwich will line-up, to start with, against Bielefeld on Sunday…
Tim Krul
The battle between Tim Krul and Ralf Fahrmann is about to get underway, and we predict that the Dutchman will be given a chance to set the standard by starting the first game of pre-season.
Max Aarons
Aarons is Norwich’s only senior right-back and could be forced into playing the bulk of the minutes in the pre-season. However, Norwich could sign a back-up right-back to ease the load in the coming weeks.
Ben Godfrey
Godfrey enjoyed a superb season in the Championship and will be looking to nail down his place as one of the two centre-backs to face Liverpool on the opening day, following an injury to Christoph Zimmermann.
Timm Klose
Klose remains the obvious pick to replace Zimmermann for the opening day clash against Liverpool next month. The Swiss international should start this one alongside Godfrey to help form their partnership.
Philip Heise
Norwich fans have not had a chance to see Heise play since his move to the club in January. This is the perfect chance for him to get some minutes under his belt and show what he is capable of.
Tom Trybull
The German holding midfielder signed a new three-year deal with Norwich on Thursday. Trybull should start this one to get back to full fitness as soon as possible, after missing the last two games of last season due to injury.
Mo Leitner
After international duty for Kenny McLean and Mario Vrancic, Leitner could be given the nod here to show what he can do in midfield. He missed out on much of the second half of last season with an injury.
Emi Buendia
The diminutive Argentine winger is simply a joy to watch. Even in pre-season, you just want to see him play as much as possible.
Todd Cantwell
Cantwell flattered to deceive with his performances out wide last season and could hope to be utilised in a more central role in the Premier League. He could be given a chance to play as the central attacking midfielder on Sunday to prove that he is more effective through the middle.
Patrick Roberts
Farke could opt to give Patrick Roberts an outing on the left. The on-loan winger will be looking to impress in order to force his way into the starting XI next season.
Adam Idah
Idah has recently been promoted to the first-team squad and could be thrust straight into the action on Sunday. The Irish youth international has been prolific in the academy set-up for Norwich.
