Norwich City secured the Championship title three weeks ago as they beat Aston Villa 2-1 on the final day of the season.
The Canaries had wrapped up promotion with a 2-1 win against Blackburn at Carrow Road the week previous, but lifted the title at Villa Park after goals from Teemu Pukki and Mario Vrancic.
Daniel Farke will now lead his side into the Premier League with the aim of avoiding relegation in their first season back in the top-flight – unlike the 2015/16 campaign.
Alex Neil failed to keep the side up during that season and struggled after failing to strengthen his squad adequately in the transfer market.
Norwich will be hoping to not make the same mistake twice, with Stuart Webber now at the club as sporting director.
They could look to make the most of the loan market to strengthen the side, so here are some players Norwich could sign on loan this summer…
Norwich have been heavily linked with a move for Mignolet and they could look to persuade Liverpool into letting him move to Carrow Road on loan. The Belgian international has fallen out of favour at Anfield over the past two seasons.
The central midfielder on loan to Derby from Chelsea is a clear talent and has enjoyed a good season in the Championship. If Derby fail to secure promotion, Norwich could swoop in and look to strike a deal.
Mason Greenwood is highly rated at Manchester United but has yet to experience a full season of first-team football. The teenager could move to Norwich on loan and gain some valuable first-team minutes in the Premier League.
Wilson was linked to Norwich last summer before joining Derby and the club could look to reignite their interest in the Welsh international if Derby lose to Aston Villa in the play-off final on Monday. Wilson has found the back of the net 16 times for Derby in the league.
Norwich need cover at right-back and on the wing and Tottenham’s Kyle Walker-Peters could provide that. The talented youngster would be a great addition to Norwich’s side next season.
The Borussia Dortmund forward is reportedly set to leave the club this summer and Norwich could look to use their connections with the club to strike a loan deal for the German forward to bolster their attacking options this summer.
Kent has enjoyed a superb season on loan to Rangers from Liverpool. The midfielder has impressed in Scotland and could be ready for a loan in the Premier League to really hone his skills. He was nominated for PFA Scotland Player of the Year.
The central defender has been a rock for Aston Villa this season on loan from Manchester United. if Villa fail to beat Derby in the play-off final, Norwich could look to take advantage and offer him the chance of Premier League football next season.
Vorm has been the back-up at Tottenham for the last few years and could be itching for regular first-team football again. Norwich could offer him the chance to be their number one next season at Carrow Road in the Premier League.
This is perhaps the most ambitious target on this list. However, if Arsenal sign a new right-back, as they have been rumoured to do, and Hector Bellerin returns to fitness, Maitland-Niles could fall out of favour. He would be an exceptional addition to Norwich’s team – where he could play in midfield.
