The transfer window opened earlier this week and Norwich are sure to be busy in the market this summer.
Norwich secured promotion back to the Premier League and Stuart Webber is now tasked with building a squad capable of surviving next season.
While this means that a few new faces will be coming in the door, a few players will be leaving as well.
One of these players could be club captain and Scottish international centre-back Grant Hanley.
After a poor start to the season, Hanley picked up an injury that ruled him out until December, but he then went on to make just three appearances for the club – two substitute cameos in the league and one start against Portsmouth in the FA Cup where he was shown a red card in the first-half.
With Hanley sure to be one of the club’s highest earners, and the current 4th choice centre-back, he could be shipped on this summer. But who could replace him? Here are our suggestions…
Conor Masterson
The young defender is leaving Liverpool on a free transfer this summer and has been linked to Norwich earlier this season. He could come in and be a back-up to the more experienced players at the club.
Fikayo Tomori
Norwich could look into the loan market and bring in Tomori from Chelsea to challenge for a place in the side. The England under-21 international has impressed on loan at Derby this season.
Miguel Britos
Britos is an experienced Premier League campaigner and is available on a free transfer this summer. He could bring some much needed experience to Norwich’s defence when called upon.
Ezri Konsa
Norwich could potentially look to push the boat out and secure a deal to sign Ezri Konsa from Brentford. The young central defender is highly regarded in the Championship.
Axel Tuanzebe
If Aston Villa fail to win the play-off final, Norwich could make a move for Axel Tuanzebe on loan. The Manchester United defender has impressed at Villa this season and been a rock at the back.
Tomas Kalas
Kalas enjoyed a good year on loan at Bristol City and Norwich could offer him an escape route away from Chelsea on a permanent basis.
