Norwich City beat Aston Villa 2-1 on Sunday afternoon to wrap up the Championship title and cap what has been a magnificent season for the Canaries.
Teemu Pukki opened the scoring with his 29th goal of the season to put Daniel Farke’s side ahead inside the opening seven minutes, and on the brink of the title.
Villa had been on a 12-match unbeaten run heading into the final day of the season, however, and equalised through Jonathan Kodjia seven minutes later.
Both sides pushed forwards in search of a winner in what was an entertaining tie at Villa Park, before Norwich grabbed a winner with three minutes of time remaining.
Jamal Lewis pushed forwards and played Mario Vrancic through and the 29-year-old fired into the bottom corner to seal the victory and round up a brilliant season for Farke’s side.
