Norwich have learnt what could prove to be a very valuable lesson in the last few games – they need more depth in the wide areas.
Emi Buendia’s suspension has highlighted a hole in Norwich’s squad and that is their lack of options out wide.
Todd Cantwell came in on the right against Wigan and Reading and failed to impress, likewise Moritz Leitner – albeit an unnatural position for him – against Sheffield Wednesday.

The Celtic man has been excellent this season and would be a terrific signing for Norwich if they managed to bring him in. Norwich’s last signing from Celtic was Gary Hooper, who scored 19 league goals in two season for the Canaries.
The young winger has already been linked with a move to Norwich in the summer. Bowen has scored 21 goals for Hull this season and is attracting interest from a host of clubs.
Portu has scored seven goals for Girona in Spain this season and could be a shrewd addition to Norwich’s squad.
Norwich pride themselves on taking players with high potential who haven’t lived up to their hype and getting them on the right track. Ocampos could be Farke’s next project.
The Algerian has been superb for Brentford and has the sort of magic touch that Buendia has brought to the Norwich team.
The Welsh winger has impressed for Swansea and would be a different option for Farke to be able to call upon with his direct running and incredible pace.
The Dutch winger has racked up six assists in the Bundesliga for Mainz and could be a decent addition to Norwich’s squad.
