Max Aarons insists he is fully focused on gaining promotion to the Premier League with Norwich this season despite interest from a number of England’s top clubs, according to Norfolk news outlet PinkUn.
The full back is a target for the likes of champions Manchester City, Chelsea, Tottenham and Arsenal following his breakthrough season with Norwich, as the Canaries mount a push for automatic promotion to the Premier League.
Aarons has started 31 consecutive league games for Daniel Farke’s side following his debut against Ipswich in September, and his side currently sit two points clear at the top of the Championship.
And despite interest from the top sides in the Premier League, and Bundesliga outfit RB Leipzig, Aarons revealed he pays no attention to the transfer speculation.
That stuff just gets taken care of, I don’t ever buy into any of that, I don’t ever really listen to it, I don’t ever really look at it. The thing in my head is just the next game and playing as well as I can in the next match. I don’t really ever look at that, I don’t ever really talk about it, it’s just one of those things when you’re top of the league and things are going well, there’s going to be some speculation.
The 19-year-old, who signed a contract extension until 2023 with the club in October, has scored three goals and created five assists from defence this season.
