Oliveira exit draws closer as Reading prepare for striker’s arrival

Nelson Oliveira’s time at Norwich is almost over.

The striker has yet to feature for Daniel Farke’s side so far this season, with the German tactician seemingly preferring any other able-bodied individual at the top of his formation than the 27-year-old.

Reading are looking to profit from the acrimony, and a report from the Reading Chronicle has claimed that the Royals are on the verge of securing their deal for the Portuguese international.

Likely to be a loan deal, it has also been previously reported that the Berkshire club would have the chance to make the switch a permanent one in the summer.

The Canaries have hardly missed the front-man, currently sitting in second place in the Championship, one point behind league leaders Leeds United.

Reading, however, are experiencing a rather different ride. Placing 22nd currently, the side would be relegated to League One as things stand.

Can Oliveira turn their season around?
