Never a dull moment at Carrow Road this season…
Despite so often being on the right end of dramatic scorelines, it’s the Canaries who were going home disconsolate on Saturday evening.
A 4-3 defeat to Frank Lampard’s side has dented promotion hopes for the Yellows, but the Norwich faithful can take some solace in the fact that Leeds were also bested in the final matches of 2018.
Here’s how we rated Daniel Farke’s men:
Tim Krul - 3
The Dutch shot-stopper polarises opinion – and this game won’t have helped his case.
Max Aarons - 5
The young full-back will enjoy better outings than this – his wing proved fruitful for the Rams.
Christoph Zimmermann - 2
The German centre-half had a torrid afternoon, and Farke will be left with a hard decision to make as to when (and if) he calls upon Zimmerman again.
Timm Klose - 6
The gigantic Swiss centre-half is an ever-present source of stability in the heart of the Norwich defense. Now, to find him a partner!
Ben Godfrey - 6
Opened the scoring and looked reasonably composed both on the ball and in defence.
Alex Tettey - 5
Another polarising figure, Tettey delivered a decidedly mixed performance.
Mario Vrancic - 7
The midfielder was simply excellent going forward, and if he can stay fit, it’s hard to imagine this side struggling for goals down the stretch.
Todd Cantwell - 4
The youngster has turned in a series of patchy performances this season, and today was one of the low points. However, I don’t doubt he gets better with each of these learning experiences.
Marco Stiepermann - 7
Stiepermann impressed once again in his more advanced position before eventually being substituted.
Onel Hernandez - 8
The winger looked incredibly dangerous once again against Derby, with his superb delivery and direct style of play.
Teemu Pukki - 9
He’s got the goals to take Norwich up this season – they just need to find a way to stop conceding them too!
