Steven Naismith hints at permanent Hearts move

Steven Naismith has revealed he is open to making his loan move from Norwich City to Hearts permanent next summer, the Mirror report.

Naismith, who joined Norwich from Premier League side Everton back in 2016, has made over 40 appearances for the Canaries, finding the back of the net on eight occasions.

The Scottish international was sent out on loan to the Scottish Premiership side over the summer and has impressed, scoring 11 times in 18 appearances this season before suffering a knee injury which required surgery at the end of October.

The dynamic forward, who has failed to impress current Norwich boss Daniel Farke, can leave on a Bosman at the end of the season, with his deal at Norwich set to expire.

And talking during the week, the 32-year-old joked he would be ‘raging’ if current Hearts boss Craig Levein didn’t want him to join the club on a permanent basis next summer.

I’d be raging if the manager (Craig Levein) didn’t want me to stay. He thinks I can do a lot at Hearts and the club would do what they can to get me to stay on.

It’s pleasing to hear that, really good. I’ve loved every minute of it. The routine is perfect for me and it works. I’m open to anything at this moment in time. I just need to know I’m making the right choice and not look back in 10
years’ time, wishing that I had done something or not.
