Norwich City fans have voted and decided on their player of the year for 2018 this week.
We ran a poll earlier this week with a list of candidates to win Norwich’s player of the year (unofficial) award.
James Maddison, Teemu Pukki, Alex Tettey, Moritz Leitner, Grant Hanley, Jamal Lewis and Timm Klose were the players in contention.
The votes are in and the winner is…
Moritz Leitner!

The German won by a distance, winning 75% of his duels in the poll structure, with Teemu Pukki’s 61% the closest in second.
James Maddison was third with 59%, followed by Timm Klose, Jamal Lewis, Alex Tettey and Grant Hanley – in that order.
Leitner joined Norwich at the start of 2018 on an initial loan from Augsburg, before making it permanent in the summer.
He has been a consistent figure in Daniel Farke’s midfield throughout the year and has arguably been Norwich’s player of the season so far for the 2018/19 campaign.
His highlight of the year was potentially his goal away at Ipswich in the East Anglian derby, as he smashed home a great strike from distance to make it 1-1.
It has been an excellent first year in Norwich colours for Leitner and we hope 2019 is even better!
