Nelson Oliveira set for Besiktas move

According to the Mirror, out of favour Norwich City striker Nelson Oliveira is set to join Turkish side Beskitas on loan in January.

The proposed move will be a six-month loan deal, which will also include a view to a permanent move in the summer, for a fee worth around £2.6 million.

Oliveira, who made the move to Carrow Road in 2016 from Portuguese side Benfica, hasn’t featured for the Canaries under Daniel Farke this season, despite turning out heavily in the previous campaign.

The Portuguese international, who has also turned out for the likes of Swansea City and Nottingham Forest during his career, has found the back of the net 25 times for his current side.

However, the Canaries haven’t struggled in front of goal without Oliveira present, scoring 38 times in their 21 Championship fixtures so far, with Finish international Teemu Pukki firing in 12 of the 38 as Norwich sit pretty at the top of the table.
