Norwich 3-4 West Brom: Four things we learned

Norwich City lost 4-3 to West Brom at Carrow Road on Saturday as they failed to pick up their first win of the season.

Despite dominating the game and looking the better of the sides, a number of individual errors cost Norwich.

Jordan Rhodes gave Norwich the lead with his first goal for the club as he reacted quickly to a cut-back from Teemu Pukki.

An error from Ben Marshall then allowed Dwight Gayle through, who was then taken out by Tim Krul – with Jay Rodriguez scoring the resulting penalty.

Rhodes was handed the perfect chance to give Norwich the lead again from the spot minutes later, but saw his penalty comfortably saved by Sam Johnstone.

Under three minutes into the second half Norwich gifted West Brom a goal, with Tettey giving the ball away in a dangerous area, before Tim Krul spilt Rodriguez’s shot into his own net.

Barnes made it 3-1 for West Brom, before Pukki pulled a goal back for Norwich. Hal Robson-Kanu then added a fourth for West Brom, with the last goal of the game coming courtesy of a header from Grant Hanley.
