There was plenty of late drama at St Andrew’s as two late goals saw the points shared on the opening day of the season.
The hosts had taken the lead through Jacques Maghoma in the second half before Onel Hernandez equalised with a cool finish.
The game came to life in the last 10 minutes as Viv Solomon-Otabor put Birmingham City back in front.
It was Hernandez once again who would draw the Canaries level with an equally impressive finish into the bottom corner.
Here is how we rated the players at full time.
Tim Krul - 6
Solid debut. Unlucky in the first goal and let down by the defence for the second.
Ben Marshall - 7
Ran his heart out. Big improvement on Ivo Pinto.
Timm Klose - 5
Some poor passing let his overall defensive play down.
Grant Hanley - 6
Solid as a rock as always.
James Husband - 4
Poor when attacking and poor at the back. Rightly subbed.
Alexander Tettey - 6
A solid return to the City team.
Marco Stiepermann - 5
Played well but probably won’t be used at central midfield again.
Tom Trybull - 6
Solid shift as always from the German.
Onel Hernandez - 9
Scored both of Norwich’s goals. Ran his heart out. A real game changer.
Teemu Pukki - 6
Decent debut from the Finn. Certainly worked hard.
Jordan Rhodes - 6
Always ended up with his back to goal. Should’ve buried a chance at 1-0.
Moritz Leitner - 6
Did well but gave the ball away a bit much.
Kenny McLean - 7
Changed the game when he came on. Running caused Birmingham problems.
Dennis Srbeny - 7
Assisted the goal and was rightly celebrated by Hernandez at the end.
