Norwich City completed the signing of winger Ben Marshall from Wolves on Saturday – the club’s fourth addition of the summer.
Marshall has joined the club for a fee in the region of £1.5m, despite fierce competition from Millwall – where he was on loan for half of last season.
The experienced winger has signed a four-year deal for the club, with fans largely pleased with his arrival.
We have had a look at four reasons why Marshall is a good signing for Norwich City.
His set-pieces
James Maddison was in-charge of Norwich’s set pieces last season, but his departure now leaves the task open to a new taker.
Marshall has shown over the years that he is a consistent performer from set-pieces and could take over the role next season.
He's a proven Championship player
With over 200 Championship appearances for the likes of Blackburn, Wolves and Millwall, Marshall is well-versed in the rigors of the second division.
Norwich lacked experience at times last season and Marshall could give them that out wide.
He was in-demand
It is usually a good sign when a number of clubs are looking to sign a player.
Norwich are thought to have beaten a number of other Championship clubs to the signing of Marshall.
His versatility
Marshall is best known for playing as a wide-right midfielder.
However, Marshall has shown in the past few years that he is able to operate on the left-wing, centrally, and as a fullback on either side.
Daniel Farke could be looking at Marshall to play as a right-wing back in Norwich’s 3-5-2 formation.
