Norwich City ended a run of seven games without a win as they beat Reading 3-2 at Carrow Road on Saturday.
Three first-half goals were enough to secure the three points for Norwich on a freezing St. Patrick’s Day.
Mario Vrancic opened the scoring early on. James Maddison’s corner was flicked on at the near post and Vrancic arrived late at the back stick to head home from close range.
Grant Hanley then doubled Norwich’s lead. Another Maddison corner and Hanley was able to rise above his man and power a header into the bottom corner.
Reading pulled one back when Liam Kelly rifled the ball into the back of the net on the rebound after a good block from a Norwich defender.
James Maddison was then wiped out by the Reading keeper to win a penalty, stepping up to convert his fourth goal in three games.
Sam Smith scored a consolation goal in the second-half, but Norwich were able to hold on for the win.
