Norwich City overcame local non-league side Lowestoft Town in their second pre-season friendly of the summer.
The Canaries were 5-1 winners at the Amber Dews Events stadium, after coming back from an early scare that saw them go 1-0 down.
There was a hint of handball after Michael McGovern’s mistake dropped the ball onto Jake Reed’s hand, before being stuck into the net for 1-0.
City were given a chance to equalise from the spot shortly after. Cameron Jerome stepped up and finished cooly into the bottom left.
Steven Naismith put Norwich in front minutes later. Marley Watkins played a neat through ball and Naismith slotted the ball into the back of the net.
Watkins then doubled City’s lead with his first goal for the club. The winger broke the offside trap, rounded the ‘keeper, and poked the ball into an empty goal.
Nelson Oliveira slotted from close range and Mario Vrancic emphatically placed the ball into the top corner to make it four and five to Norwich.
