Norwich City completed the signing of Barnsley forward Marley Watkins on Thursday morning.
Although he will only officially join the Canaries as of July 1st – when his contract with Barnsley expires.
The forward has signed a three-year contract with the club.
Norwich announced their new head coach last week, Daniel Farke, and he now has his first signing.
Watkins had an impressive season for Barnsley in the Championship. The 26-year-old scored ten goals and registered nine assists.
The former Inverness forward was also in talks with Cardiff City but has decided to join Norwich over their Welsh Championship rivals.
Watkins will now be competing with Jacob and Josh Murphy for a starting spot in the wide positions at the club this season.
The first chance Norwich will be able to see Watkins in yellow and green will be against Lowestoft on July 8th at Crown Meadow.
