Our man of the match: Ipswich (H)

Norwich City were held 1-1 against rivals Ipswich in the East Anglian derby on Sunday.

The Canaries dominated the match and created a number of clear-cut chances but poor finishing allowed Ipswich to claim a point from the fixture.

A cagey first-half saw the sides go in 0-0 at the break and it was Ipswich who made the breakthrough in the second half.

Moments after Mitchell Dijks saw a goal disallowed for a foul, Jonas Knudsen headed home at the back post to give the visitors a 1-0 lead.

Norwich pushed and pushed before finally finding the equaliser when Jacob Murphy produced a moment of magic.

The winger created space on the edge of the box before rifling home a shot from 20-yards.

Cameron Jerome had a number of opportunities to score throughout the chance but was wasteful in front of goal when given the chance.

Picking a man of the match has been very difficult indeed. Mitchell Dijks and Jacob Murphy both impressed, but I have gone with Timm Klose as my man of the match.

The central defender was superb throughout the match and dominated at the back, covering for Russell Martin – who had a poor game by all accounts.

Klose, who was poor in the reverse fixture, dealt with the physicality of the game very well and bossed the Ipswich forward line.

The Swiss international has come under some criticism in recent weeks, and rightly so, but has put in some excellent performances this season – with this being one of his finest.
