Our player of the month: January

January was a much improved month for Norwich – from December – as they won three of their four Championship matches.

The Canaries beat Derby County, Birmingham and Wolves throughout the month, although losses to Southampton in the FA Cup and Rotherham in the league were sandwiched in between.

As you may, or may not, know, we hand out our Read Norwich player of the month at the end of each month – based on our man of the match awards during the month.

We hand out a player of the month award to the player with the most man of the match awards during the month.

Well… our Read Norwich player of the month for January is… Timm Klose!

The big Swiss picked up two man of the match awards in January – against Birmingham and Southampton, with a handful of players sitting on one award.

Klose played all six matches for Norwich in January, helping the Canaries to turn their form around. He was a rock at the back in virtually every match – also chipping in with his first goal of the season against Birmingham.

This is Klose’s third player of the month award this season – claiming the award in November and October.
