Norwich 2-0 Birmingham: Rating the Canaries

Norwich City recorded an impressive win against Birmingham today as they won 2-0 at Carrow Road.

The away side came close to opening the scoring in the 14th minute. A cross came into the box and Lukaz Jutkiewicz hit the bar with a thumping header.

Cameron Jerome then won the ball on the half-way line and ran half the length of the pitch before slotting the ball into the corner just seconds after Birmingham’s chance.

Norwich then doubled their lead in the 43rd minute. Robbie Brady’s excellent free-kick was headed home by Timm Klose – his second goal for the club.

(Stat) Klose’s two goals for Norwich have both been headers assisted by Brady at the Barclay End towards the end of the first half.

It was a nervy second half but Norwich were able to hold out and secure all three points ahead of next week’s trip to Cardiff.

Jerome missed an absolute sitter in the last few moments of the game as he had all the time in the world to hit the ball straight at the goalkeeper from four yards out after a good ball from Jonny Howson.

Here is how we rated the Canaries…
