According to the Birmingham Mail, reports in France have declared that Aston Villa have made an enquiry about Amiens midfielder and Norwich target, Guessouma Fofana.
An article from French newspaper L’Equipe, recently stated that Stoke had a bid turned down for the 24-year-old . The same article goes on to report that Norwich have also made contact with the player’s agent.
The defensive midfielder, who was born in France, but has declared allegiance to Mali, has been playing at Amiens since 2015. He has made 37 appearances for the club and has scored 2 goals. Amiens are currently 7th in Ligue 2, the second tier of French football, but they have not won a match since the end of November.
The pressure was building on Alex Neil after 6 losses in 10 games, but this was relieved quite a bit at the weekend with their comprehensive 3-0 win against Derby. However, Neil will be looking for a couple of signings this window to bolster his squad to ensure that they don’t go on such a dreadful run again.
