QPR 2-1 Norwich: Twitter reacts

Norwich City lost for the fifth game in succession today as they were beaten 2-1 by QPR.

The Canaries travelled down to London having lost to Leeds (x2), Brighton and Preston in their previous four matches. However, they were unable to fare any better as Ian Holloway’s side pushed them aside.

Martin Olsson was sent off within the opening two minutes for handball on the goal line, with Chery missing the resulting penalty.

But goals from Polter and Washington were enough to win the game for QPR, despite a late consolation goal from Steven Naismith for Norwich.

Alex Neil came into the game under massive pressure as it was, then he decided to drop fan favourites Wes Hoolahan and Timm Klose – with Alex Pritchard and Louis Thompson also nowhere to be seen.

Despite being 2-0 down after 27 minutes, Neil waited until the 75th minute to make a change, and by then it was too late.

Here is how Norwich fans have reacted on Twitter…

Twitter: Someone just throw a clapper at Alex Neil’s head ffs please just get out of the club!! #NCFC #CTID (@AdamSinclair01)

Twitter: Loved the Wembley play off final, but Alex Neil has been a shadow of his former self since the #nufc spankings. Time to go #ncfc (@c_connell2)

Twitter: “I’m confident we’ll turn it around”.

You’ve been saying that for weeks, Alex Neil.

I’ve no confidence we will.

Twitter: Worst possible result today. No points and Neil retains his job for another week. Would have preferred a 5-0 drubbing. #canarycall #ncfc (@JazNCFC)

Twitter: Same old responses from Alex Neil, bored of it now #ncfc (@Josh_Roper)

Twitter: How can you not start @LaffK he does what he is paid to do scores goals? Alex Neil get out of our club. #ncfc #CanaryCall (@RobsonSummers_)

Twitter: You don’t miss someone until he’s gone, #ncfc missing Gary Holt immensely. Neil should go, Irvine must (@ApDotteArM)

Twitter: We’ve reached a sad Hughton/Adams situation where I like Alex Neil, I want him to succeed but I think it’s the end of the road! #ncfc (@codylicious)

Twitter: Although today wasn’t solely his fault Alex Neil’s time is up I’m sad to say. Subs too late again. Stuck in a rut. #NCFC #CanaryCall (@emilyward1990)

Twitter: Not sure I follow the argument that Alex Neil deserves more time than Neil Adams, the position is very similar #TimeForChange #ncfc (@jameskent076)

Twitter: Although I don’t see Delia sacking her dear Neil. Gary Rowett would be a superb replacement. #NCFC (@DanielEmeryRS)

Twitter: Can see Alex Neil being sacked and nice guy and great leader Russell Martin being made Player Manager he is idolised by the board #ncfc (@David_NCFC_1982)
