Four things we learnt as Norwich lose final friendly

Well, that wasn’t quite the cherry on the cake to top off our otherwise largely successful pre-season.

After 12 minutes I was starting to seriously regret not staying at home and watching it streamed on Youtube. But for the sake of the several thousand Norwich fans who did show up, Norwich did eventually decide to turn up after being 2-0 down.

The following 75 minutes went on to be a much more competitive affair than the first quarter of an hour suggested, and Hoolahan kindly gave the home crowd a couple of goals to cheer about too.

While it’s never particularly fun watching your team lose at home, friendly or not, the priority was always getting the players up to speed and avoid any injuries with just seven days until it all kicks off in Blackburn. Here we take a look at what we can take away from Norwich’s final game of pre-season.
