Norwich interested in Championship forward

According to the Telegraph, Norwich City are interested in signing Fulham striker Ross McCormack in the summer, with a return to the Championship looming.

Norwich sit 19th in the Premier League and will be relegated tomorrow if Sunderland beat Everton or if they lose to Watford. With relegation looking likely, McCormack could be the first signing of the window.

The Scottish forward has a buy-out clause of around £12m, with Norwich and Aston Villa both lurking around him ahead of a summer move. McCormack has been in sublime form for Fulham this season, scoring 22 goals in 39 Championship games.

McCormack might be persuaded to join Norwich in the summer, who will have a significantly better squad than his current team, Fulham. Given Villa’s position this season, McCormack may pick Norwich over Villa if it comes down to a choice between the two.

The 29-year-old has been one of the best players in the Championship this season and would be a fantastic addition to the club as they would be looking to bounce straight back up.
