Alex Neil confident of Newcastle victory

Norwich City boss Alex Neil is confident that the Canaries can keep their good momentum going when they host Newcastle United in the Barclays Premier League on Saturday.

Norwich ended March on a high with a rare away victory over West Bromwich Albion, which followed on from a well-deserved point against top four candidates Manchester City. Despite this, everybody knows the significance of the next three games on City’s fixture list.

When speaking earlier to Norwich’s official website, the Scotsman said:

Our home form in the main has been relatively good, so we’re going into the game confident. This is a crucial time in the season for us and it’s one of those games we really need to try and win, so hopefully we can do the business.

I think it’s just a case of same as really. We’ve picked four points up in our last two games, even though I don’t think our performances were much different from games previous to that.

Hopefully we can pick up where we left off and go into the game to do the job.

Alex Neil also highlighted the importance of the Newcastle game and expects a cagey encounter between the two after a 6-2 loss earlier on in the season.

It’s a big game for us. we need to make sure we put in a performance we know we can, but more importantly we need three points.
