Fans vote defender as man of the match v West Brom

In a poll ran on this site, Norwich fans have voted for Timm Klose as their Norwich man of the match from the win against West Brom.

Norwich ended a run of 11 matches without a win with a 1-0 win away at The Hawthorns thanks to a fine Robbie Brady goal in the second half.

It was Norwich’s first clean sheet on the road this season and that was down, in no small part, to the big Swiss defender Timm Klose.

In our duel, Klose won an astounding 95% of his duels in the poll, a far higher percentage than any of his nearest rivals. Dieumerci Mbokani was second with 49% of his duels won, showing the huge gulf in opinion.

Klose was almost everyone’s man of the match, that is certainly clear to see. He won virtually everything in the air and was a commanding presence in the back four.

His composure under pressure is second to none and there has been a noticeable difference in the defence since he arrived at the club.
