Norwich goalkeeper left unhappy with loan spell

Norwich’s most recent recruit in goal, Jake Kean, has made a surprise return to Carrow Road following a loan spell at League 1 side Colchester United, revealed by the Gazette.

Kean joined Colchester on a 28-day loan from the Canaries at the start of last month and it was thought the agreement would be extended to keep the shot-stopper at the Essex club for longer.

Colchester boss Keen admitted the goalkeeper was unhappy “with a couple of things” but also stressed that it was also partly his decision to allow him to return to the Premier League side.

Keen said:

It was an agreement between the two of us.

There were a couple of things that Jake wasn’t happy with, so he’s gone back to Norwich.

The U’s seemed to miss having the ex-Blackburn keeper between the sticks, as they were beaten 3-0 at Roots Hall in the Essex Derby.

However, the game will be more remembered for the ugly scenes at the final whistle, as the away fans clashed with stewards and home supporters.
