Norwich have made an enquiry into signing highly-rated Blackburn striker Rudy Gestede, according to Sky Sports.
The 26-year-old starred for Rovers last season in the Championship, scoring 20 goals in 39 appearances in the league, and has expressed his desire to play in England’s top flight.
“When you see your name is linked with these kind of clubs then you’re happy with the work you’ve been doing. It’s flattering,” Gestede said.
“I hope to be in the Premier League next season. That’s my ambition.“
The Benin international forward has been heavily linked with a move away from Ewood Park, as Watford, who were also promoted to the Premier League along with Norwich last season, are said to be interested.
West Ham, Hull City and Crystal Palace have all been mentioned as potential suitors for Gestede, but it’s Watford who have made the first move with a reported £5m offer.
The Canaries have enquired into his availability, as they look to add to their striker depth ahead of a new Premier League campaign.
