Hellberg Confirms Jeremy Sarmiento Return For Norwich Clash

Middlesbrough winger Jeremy Sarmiento is available to face Norwich City in Saturday’s Championship fixture after recovering from a recent injury.

The winger missed the previous three games across all competitions while undergoing rehabilitation. Manager Kim Hellberg opted to rest him entirely during the midweek Carabao Cup tie against Crystal Palace. Sarmiento has since resumed full training with the squad.

Norwich Defence Faces Refreshed Frontline

Discussing the decision with reporters from Hayters, Hellberg explained his careful selection process. “He’s good,” Hellberg said. “He was with us at Crystal Palace, but wasn’t in the squad because it would have been a minor risk, I think, by putting him in a little bit too early, and I didn’t feel that was necessary.”

Hellberg added that the brief delay was purely a protective measure for the attacker. “I kept him out of the squad for security a little bit to give him a little bit more time. But now he’s ready.”

Norwich City must now prepare for an added attacking dimension. Manager Philippe Clement will need his defensive unit, which features centre-back Harry Darling, to adjust rapidly to counter this renewed offensive threat.
