Norwich give themselves a glimmer of hope of avoiding relegation after beating out of form Leicester 1-0.
The Canaries made a bright start to the game with the ball spending the majority of its time in the Foxes defensive third. The home struggled to get a shot off though and Leicester looked dangerous on the break. Iheanacho, Barnes and Perez all had shots at Krul’s goal but they could find the breakthrough.
Both defences were coming out on top in the first half and the majority of the second half too and it looked like it was going to have to be a moment of magic if the sides were going to be separated.
With players like Maddison, Praet and Iheanacho spearheading the Foxes attack, your money would probably have been on the visitors producing that moment of magic.
And initially, it was. Iheanacho curled a sublime finish into the bottom corner but after a long VAR check, the goal was chalked off for handball in the build-up.
Next came the moment of magic from the most unlikely source. Godfrey sprayed the ball out to Aarons and his overhit cross fell into the path of Lewis. He chested the ball down and struck the ball with the outside of his boot and before you knew it, the ball was nestled in the back of the net.
Lewis’ second-ever goal in a yellow shirt might have just started the survival bid…
