Tottenham confident of securing move for Max Aarons in Summer switch

Tottenham Hotspur aren’t giving up with their pursuit of Norwich City’s Max Aarons quite just yet, and are confident of securing a deal to sign the defender, as per Football Insider.

According to the report, a deal for Aarons is potentially still on the cards for Spurs, with the player indicating his is keen on a switch to the North London club.

Norwich have rebuffed all approaches so far for Aarons, with Daniel Farke keen to keep the defender at the club until at least the end of the season.

The defender signed a new-five year contract last summer, meaning that Norwich are under no pressure to sell the highly-rated youngster this January.

It looks increasingly likely that Aarons move to Spurs is a case of when rather than if.

The prospect of Champions League football and playing for a club of Tottenham’s stature is obviously a big draw for Aarons.

However, Norwich are playing it smart here, and are not being drawn into any deal that is bad for them.

They will want to maximise the fee they receive for Aarons, and will hope that they can at least hold on to him until the summer, when they can then get the best possible price for him.
