Norwich play host to Bournemouth at Carrow Road this weekend as they look to close the gap to safety.
The Canaries are currently eight points adrift of 17th and six points behind Bournemouth, who are 19th. This means that Norwich would still be bottom of the table even if they were to win, but it would be a step in the right direction.
Daniel Farke has confirmed that Teemu Pukki and Ben Godfrey are back after missing several games with their respective injuries, which could influence his team selection for the weekend.
Ondrej Duda and Lukas Rupp, meanwhile, could both make their debuts this weekend after signing earlier this week. Duda has arrived on loan from Bundesliga side Hertha Berlin, whilst Rupp has signed on a permanent deal from Hoffenheim.
But, how will Norwich line up against the Cherries in this crunch clash? Here is our predicted XI for the match…
Despite giving away a penalty against Manchester United, we predict Krul to keep his place in goal.
Aarons has started all bar two of Norwich’s Premier League games this season, missing two matches through injury earlier in the campaign.
Grant Hanley was subbed off with an injury last week, which means that Ben Godfrey could take his place in the back four.
If Hanley misses out, Zimmermann could be given the chance to captain the side once again.
Alex Tettey looked leggy in the middle of the park at Old Trafford. It could be time to give him a rest and start Amadou in midfield.
The Bosnian is a goal threat from midfield and has an excellent range of passing in his left foot.
Undroppable. Emi Buendia has been superb this season and deserves his place in the team out on the right wing.
Norwich have not had a single goal from a player playing in the number 10 role this season, so we predict that Duda will come straight in for his debut.
Will Todd be dancing again this weekend? We certainly hope so…
Norwich’s top scorer is back fit, so we predict that he will come straight back into the starting XI this week.
