Norwich City are set to miss out on a deal to sign Chievo goalkeeper Elia Caprile as he closes in on a move to Leeds.
According to L’Arena, via Sport Witness, Caprile is set to sign for Leeds and already has “a foot and a half” on the plane to join the Championship side.
The report also claims that Norwich have been watching him closely, with Leeds looking to snap him up ahead of their rivals from last season.

Caprile is only 18 and has not yet made his senior bow for Chievo, conceding 26 goals in 13 appearances for them in the youth league this season – keeping just two clean sheets. Due to his lack of experience, there is very little data to analyse in regards to whether he would be a good signing for Norwich, which means that this is a hard one to judge.
What we can say, however, is that Norwich have plenty of talented young goalkeepers already at the club. Archie Mair was signed from Aberdeen last summer and has already made the bench in the Premier League for Norwich, whilst nailing down his place as the under-23’s number one.
He is a Scotland youth international and has shown plenty of promise, as shown by Daniel Farke’s decision to put him on the bench for a senior match. This means that missing out on a deal for another teenage goalkeeper, to Leeds, should not be a major blow for the Canaries.
